Originally belonging to an Irish magistrate, this magnificent 1930's Elizabethan house remains a relic of colonial Africa.

Built in 1933 and lovingly restored in 1998 to the highest standards, Hippo Point has survived to reflect fully the English colonial romantic character.

Seven double bedrooms, a secluded swimming pool, an open gazebo for invigorating body treatments, and a team of dedicated staff will provide guests with the perfect base from which to enjoy the surrounding African wilderness.

A traditional English garden of scented roses and lush lawns contrasts sharply with the yellowish dusty tree trunks of the surrounding acacias; the resident buffalo, giraffe, hippo, zebra and gazelle off-set the soft, cozy comforts of Russian bed linen and warm wooden floors and bathtubs.

At only one and a half hours drive from Nairobi, Hippo Point's comforts will provide travelers with all the excitement of Africa without the worries and uncertainties of venturing into the sunset.
